I was born and raised in Hamburg, Germany, but came to Alaska from Spain a few years after graduating from high school, “just to visit”!
I obtained both my bachelors and my masters of social work here at the University of Alaska, Anchorage and have been a proud member of NASW (the National Association of Social Workers) for many years.
Most of my prior experience has been in mental health and psychiatric crisis intervention. I have been with Providence for 13 years and was lucky to join the Palliative Care team in 2013.
People might say that I am a bit dog crazy- I literally stop whatever I am doing whenever I run into members of our wonderful PAWS team- and most of my friends want to be one of my dogs in their next life!
