Interprofessional Program Overview

The Interprofessional Palliative Care Education curriculum includes Interpersonal Relations, Journal Club, Clinical Pastoral Education didactic sessions, interprofessional weekly didactics, and multiple team building activities throughout the year.

The curriculum goal is to improve interprofessional communication, collaboration, and knowledge to augment and bolster each professions attributes and contributions to patient care.

The interprofessional fellowship aim is to dismantle professional silos, encourage leadership in patient safety and quality health care, promote evidence-based healthcare, and stimulate conversations about best care possible for patients and families confronted with serious illness.

Our commitment to interprofessional teamwork extends beyond this fellowship to include students of multiple professions working with our team throughout the year. We are proud to be part of the WWAMI Medical Student Clerkship site, along with hosting rotations for nurses, nurse practitioners, and other professionals as able.
