Curriculum

Communication, collaboration, teamwork, and resilience provide the cornerstones of value-based, high-quality, safe-patient care; thus, these are the cornerstones of our curriculum. The curriculum involves an interplay of didactic activities, clinical experience, personal development, and interprofessional team work to cultivate the Hospice and Palliative care leaders of the future.

HPM Fellowship Vision

We aim to deliver a comprehensive hospice and palliative medicine fellowship to prepare physicians and nurse practitioners to be successful leaders to deliver inclusive care to people of diverse cultures based on the Providence Mission, Vision, and Values.

HPM Fellowship Mission

The Providence Alaska Hospice & Palliative Medicine fellowship will cultivate leaders in hospice and palliative care able to navigate diverse healthcare environments and guided by the principles of resilience, thoughtful communication, collaboration, inclusivity and interdisciplinary work.

Please see the Program Overview page for a description of the curriculum or the Rotations page for a breakdown of clinical rotations and possible electives.
