Criss Krzanowski, the Palliative Care teams Certified Medical Assistant, moved to Alaska 2001. A native of Chicago, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Triton College while working as a Wide Area Network Engineer for Honeywell, Inc. In her spare time she loved to volunteer, primarily working with children through the United Way Adopt a School program, at Children’s Memorial Hospital, and for the Department of Children and Family Services crisis shelter for abused and abandoned children. Here in Alaska her volunteer contributions include work with physically and mentally challenged children and adults at STRIDE (Southcentral Therapeutic Riding) in Peters Creek where she became the programs Volunteer Coordinator and a member of the Board of Directors.
When Criss isn’t here, loving her work as the Palliative Care Medical Assistant she also loves spending time with her husband Peter and their rescue dog ‘Blue’ camping, biking, and hiking throughout this amazing and beautiful state of Alaska that we also call home!
Criss is absolutely passionate about Palliative Care and the work we do.
