Traci was born and raised on the eastern end of Long Island, NY. The call for adventure took her to Boulder, Colorado, where she earned a BA in Anthropology and met her husband, who then joined the Air Force. The military life first sent her family to Alaska in 2010 and she instantly fell in love with the landscape and culture. Deciding to pursue her dream of going into healthcare, she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing at UAA and Traci began her nursing career at the Alaska Native Medical Center. After a few years, she relocated to Maryland and became a board certified Cardiac Vascular nurse. After starting a family in Maryland, Traci decided it was a perfect time to pursue her graduate degree at George Washington University and become a Family Nurse Practitioner. Just recently moving back to Alaska, with a 4 year old and 2 year old, and as a new graduate family nurse practitioner, she is just as ever excited for what the future holds with the palliative care fellowship.
When not caring for patients, Traci enjoys spending time outside with her husband and two children; hiking, skiing, fishing and of course berry picking!
